Pre-K Program (4 - 5 Years)

Kindergarten is just around the corner for our four and five year olds! The curriculum in our pre-k classes is meant to provide a greater challenge for their growing minds and bodies, and to prepare them for the more structured learning of a kindergarten class. To match children’s growing bodies, our pre-K rooms are spacious and the various play areas are well defined. There is an increased exposure to foundational skills required for writing, reading and mathematics. Children are encouraged through hands-on experiences, imaginative play, art, worksheets and skill books to develop these “academic” skills. Thematic learning includes : Changing seasons/weather, trees/leaves, hibernation, polar animals, bears, owls, the post office, transportation, fire safety, dental health, celebrations around the world, and people and things we love.
